Reminders:

Classes Resume: Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022

• Dress your child for the weather - toque, mitts, snow pants, snow boots
• In case your child refuses to wear snow pants, toque and mitts etc. please keep those items in your child's backpack. It is good to be prepared for any unexpected bus break downs while your child is on the bus.
• Provide your child's preferred spoon or snack/lunch time
• Sign your child's agenda everyday so that I know you have read it, especially if there is a note from the teacher
• Write your child's name on his/her belongings

This week:

- Continued to practice "I see..., I like..." sentences

- Added more features to the our Bulletin Board - labeling snowflakes

- Practice writing the letters B, H, M and D - recognizing and sound - sorting activities 

- Gym: Practiced hopping and jumping on two feet with help of a dice and played "What Time is it Mr. Wolf. Practice STOP and GO.

- Counting 1-10 using blocks and matching the numeral with number word and corresponding dots

- Winter Art/Craft  

      

  

  

       

When we come back:

- Focus on "I want..." sentences

- Start with "Snowman" as the next topic

- Review the letters B, D, H, and M

- Gym: Play hockey with soft balls and pool noodle. Practice STOP and GO.

- Review counting 1-10 using blocks and matching the numeral with number word and corresponding dots

- Winter Art/Craft

- Played "What time is it Mr. Wolf?" Instead of walking students hopped the number in the gym 

- Counting 1-10 using blocks 

- Cut snowflakes 

- Notice things around in the classroom and outside for writing sentences

- Continued to learn to jump over a line in the gym and throwing/catching the soft balls

- Counting 1-10 using blocks
